The other day we decided to take a trip to the zoo. We got up early and I packed a picnic lunch while Justin got everyone ready. Jack was so excited for the picnic, after every animal we saw he would say "Time for picnic now mommy? Picnic time yet? How 'bout a sandwich at the picnic?"

We also found the brick that family had bought in memory of Baby J right in front of the new monkey exhibit.

Jacey has found her toes and can't get enough of them. Last night Jack was in the tower helping me make dinner while Jacey was on the floor playing. She started giggling away and when Jack heard her he said "I get down and play with Jacey. Playing with toes! Playing with toes mommy! I play Jacey toes too?"
She has also started eating vegetables, and so far has eaten peas and carrots.
Today when I went to get Jack up from his nap, I walked into his room and he stood up really quick and said "mommy, i hear piggy... snort! snort!" I asked him where he heard a pig and he replied "outside mommy, heard piggy oinkin' outside window... oh maybe air conditioner."
After bath last night, before pj's...

Lately, one of Jack's favorite places is in the river. Here he is sporting a wetsuit that a friend loaned to him. Hehe! Such a teeny suit!
Uncle Jeff and Justin spent time catching crayfish and minnows for Jack, and he liked to try to pick them up. He was trying to pick up a minnow and got a crayfish accidentally. He held it for a minute and then dropped it and went "uuugggghhh!" Grandpa tried to hand him another one to hold and he just kept saying "I don't want one Papop, I don't want one!"

This past week we headed up to the cottage for a few days to cool off in the river and change up our routine a bit. Jack had a play day with Bob, Ryan, and Kate. Jack and Kate love to play together and were busy on the swing set and in the river. It was funny to watch Kate take Jack by the hand and lead him off to the next activity, both of them giggling and yelling and making all sorts of noise.

Here we are just relaxing and taking a break for awhile after all that fun and noise.

We have a "garden" on the back patio, consisting of two strawberry plants, three tomato plants and two pepper plants. Jack asks every day if he can eat a tomato, he has been patiently waiting for the day when he can actually pick one.
Our first tomato!
